When actress Vidya Balan came to Delhi recently, she was in a very playful mood. She sang, posed happily for the cameras, and kept urging the audience to clap louder.

She was here for the launch of Aliva's new baked snacks - Multigrain Waves - as their newly-appointed brand ambassador. Apart from that, Aliva has also launched Milk Minis and Crispy Thinz.
Vidya seemed especially excited about the brand's new TVC, in which she plays a double role - one of a traditional women a la "Parineeta" and another of a sensual woman a la Silk Smitha, in keeping with Aliva Multigrain Waves' dual promise of 'Upar Se Tasty, Andar Se Healthy'. She told us, "I was thrilled about the double role, and the TVC took me back to "Parineeta", which was very exciting. I love snacking on Aliva, and now I don't feel like a criminal snacking because it's not just tasty, it's also very healthy."
After Vidya posed for the shutterbugs, she told everyone present that she had something to share, something she called the 'Bombaat Remix'. She then went on to sing the song "Ooh La La" to the tune of "Piyu Bole" from "Parineeta", and doubled over laughing before she could even finish two lines. After composing herself, she said, "What? I'm just having some fun!" and continued laughing. Vidur Vyas, marketing director, foods, PepsiCo India, said, "Vidya is a great match to highlight the brand's positioning of a snack jo tasty hai, achcha hai. She is a versatile actress and a warm person. Aliva is not only a tasty snack but is made with ingredients like grains. Our TV campaign highlights the same multifaceted personality."
